Evolution is a filter, not a plan
Bacteria become resistant because a few in any infection already carry traits that let them survive the drug, and those survivors are left to multiply once it clears out the rest. Repeated, incomplete courses run that selection again and again, and the WHO ranks antimicrobial resistance among the top 10 threats to global public health.
